Isn't accomplishing what they want it to. People will wander randomly if they want to, others will just look it up online & get more of a shortcut than if the game map was decent.

@syntaxseed@phpc.social dude i think about this ALL THE TIME about games. be sitting here like, why can i not find this stupid thing. i don't want to "cheat" after a while i will reason with myself that searching what i want on the internet is just like if i walked into the inn and asked the barkeep for directions. same for crafting patterns. i aint the first person to invent healing potions its literally baked into the world. why do i have to "discover" the recipe?!?!?1 when i could just buy a 5$ book.
