Is there a “trust chain” standard defined for the open web?
1) User says to trust institutions X, Y and Z. Institution can be also statically defined list.
2) User chooses trust strategy (fail fast, trust fast, priority, etc.).
3) OS checks for each domain visited what would be the advice for given domain, institutions and strategies. And reflects accordingly (warning, block, green checkmark, etc.).
4) Each institution is also user.

This has been on my mind since I’ve heard the “check URL” nonsense for the first time ~20 years ago. I know nothing. I do not trust my judgement. My own judgment is super easily skewed by external factors. Nobody should be scared to click.
