Whoever thought this “is what House deserves” did not understand the character at all. So long as he got to “solve the puzzle”, he would not care much afterwards, relatively speaking. It would definitely not punish him. Killing the patient before being able to diagnose & cure them, that would for instance.

Did they give me syphilis? Honestly best thing to do is argue with House then call a malpractice lawyer. You can have your cake off being cured and not pay for it when the hospital finds out what he did.

Ask to transfer another hospital several zip codes away where they use modern differential diagnosis methods, respect informed consent rules, and follow real world standards of care. Of course, I do live in the USA, so the health insurance rep will just laugh at me nonstop until I hang up the phone.
