ever since i migrated to czechia because i wanted to escape being killed for being gay and trans, i have been becoming more and more in love with prague but also more and more resentful of the governments who keep away this new hope, shot at a new life for me and other immigrants behind walls and borders and guns
no one chooses where they will be born in. no one asks for it. not everyone can have the resources and opportunities i had. and even with them, i almost failed. give them a chance

when i was in národní muzeum last friday i had a revelation. there were several installations. one was about the history of czechs as people, and it moved me, because there's a lot of commonality i feel with them despite being from such different cultures and corners of the world. so much shared trauma. and then there was a section on evolution of humans and they showed this skull of a person from thousands of years ago that they found in moravia or something.
