Perfectly logical. Both showering and not showering is fine. It’s the transition which sucks, where you’re cold and naked without any warm water hitting you.

Gosh this is me everytime, especially when the shower was only 5m but I spent 30m processing the decision.

  • Heh, I’d hoped that installing a rain shower head w/ a handheld would’ve inspired showers on the reg… but, I forget that too, it seems. Maybe leaving the curtain on the other side’d help remind me that it’s a cozy, re-centering, paid-for amenity. 😅🤞🏼 (prop mgmt’s lucky I don’t take baths, so I’ve got some wiggle room, I figure.)

I think about this meme all the time. It actually helps me keeping this “cognitive bias” or whatever you call it, in mind because it helps me get into the shower to begin with.

What does this have to do with ADHD?

  • When I was a child I HATED the transition from dry to wet and then the transition from wet back to dry. Especially if it came with a temperature change As an adult it mostly doesn’t bother me anymore. There might have been some sort of spiritual journey in between that I can’t remember though.

How is this adhd? Why is every post here like “I once felt the temperature, I am special and only the adhd can relate…” Honestly you should just have a master post with a link in the sidebar that says: “This sub is dedicated to if you feel anything. Cause it’s rare and only because you’re adhd. No one else feels anything and whatever you feel it’s special. News flash, you have adhd like other folks have color blindness or dislexia, or heartburn. You aren’t special but you’re not bad or disabled either. Moving on is healthier than circle jerking on the internet about how you can barely handle shit yet are super special .
