One problem with this challenge for me is that I live in Finland and would have to manage to visit Parikkala, Lieksa, and Kemijärvi using the two days on which journeys in one's home country are allowed.
Also need to specify in rules whether it is enough to pass through a station, or whether one needs to actually disembark a train and wait for another one at the station. I think just passing through should be enough.

If journeys with mandatory reservation are included, one would have to travel to Tatvan and Kars in Turkey. Not sure whether that would be a bit too exciting for me. The benefit is that for Finland, going to Kemijärvi and then out via Haparanda is enough, Lieksa falls inside the line between Kemijärvi and Kars.
