How are you folks securing your furniture to the walls in case of #earthquake? I haven’t found any product that I like, and I think I’m way behind schedule.

@drahardja@sfba.social Last time I needed to secure a bookcase, I used a 2” wide strip of nylon strapping, and folded the ends under themselves, and used a drywall screw with a washer to go into the stud behind the drywall, and a 3/4” inch screw to go into the top of the bookcase. If that didn’t hold it, I’d have bigger issues to deal with. But we don’t get much movement on the east side of Canada.
