@jaykuo@universeodon.com Right after you ban Viagra and the other “Pecker-Picker-Uppers”. Until then, #GFY.

@textfiles@mastodon.archive.org Sorry for the interruption, but do you have any contact info for staff at the Internet Archive Canada? I can find a physical mailing address, but little more. I'm interested in making a donation of physical media -- but there's apparent way to reach a human. Their account on your Mastodon server shows no posts/follows, etc. I've checked their incorporation records, but they're all pointing at a law office in Toronto.

@copter_chief@mstdn.party Putin doesn't need to control Trump. Putin just needed a compromised, pedophile, fraudster, racist, xenophobic, incompetent shithead in control of the USA... Then just wait for him to do whatever it is he would do with practically unlimited power and authority and influence and money. I've started thinking that the end game is having Trump destroy the USA from the inside, and once America is in chaos (or civil war) then he's going to set his sights on inv...

And here's your irregularly scheduled reminder to advise your friends and family about internet scams. I just received a message from "Government of Canada" telling me to download a file and check for my "child benefit and HST/GST Credit". There were several obvious errors that are probably meant to weed out folks who are still sharp enough to see them. #InfoSec #Scam #Scams

@SrRochardBunson@universeodon.com @quizzicus@mastodon.online @carnage4life@mas.to The term everyone needs to know here is “Exit Liquidity”. All the billionaires are trying to bail themselves out of Elon’s multiple radioactive dumpster fires, using everyone’s ETFs, index mutual funds, and the retirement savings of fanboys who think #SpaceKaren is an alpha-male super-genius.

@grumpybozo@toad.social I will say that the Meal-Team-Six types with their flack jackets and AR-15s tend not to be harassed by police when they’re demonstrating their fascist leanings in public. I mean, it’s probably professional courtesy extended to co-workers and all that… But left-leaning protesters could probably benefit from this lesson.

@michaelgalassi@bsd.network @valpackett@social.treehouse.systems @dvl@bsd.network Yeah, I’ve seen this once or twice with random devices - I usually just throw a USB-A charging cable into the box/case where it’s stored, and that’s enough of a clue for me.

So, just a reminder in time for vacation season. That cute little 10-room country inn that's a hundred years old, with beautiful gardens and free-range chickens in the yard? It's a nightmare to stay at. No insulation in the walls. Every footstep in every part of the house echos into your room. Every flush of a toilet in the middle of the night. Every sneeze and cough sounds like it's inside your room. In hot and humid weather, everything feels wet -- upholstery, bedding, towel...

@robz@toot.robzazueta.com @fraggle@social.coop @Ashedryden@xoxo.zone Similar thing here - I play music trivia with the kids - and they’re shockingly good…. “Which Van Halen song starts with a drum solo that sounds like a motorcycle starting and idling?” And not only did the get the title right, they also named the album…

@Radgryd@mstdn.games The enjoyment I derive from Brits saying "Fuck Off" is second only to French folks saying "Shit". I don't know why, maybe it's the accent, the inflection, the passion -- or some different, intangible texture or quality, I've never been able to define it. Thanks for listening to my #TEDtalk.

@chatcontrol@mastodon.social The defence against stupidity like this is: "You first." Peter should feel free to post the contents of his eMail inbox, text messages, his phone's camera roll, or recordings of his phonecalls for everyone else to snoop on. Until then, he should STFU. But he won't, because he's exempted from surveillance -- his privacy remains intact.

@unir And it should go without saying that a lot of people who wear the T might deny it when you ask about it - because they’re not ready to come out as trans yet. But let them know that you’ll keep their secret, and that in time, when they’re ready, you will be a trusted ally.

@EdwinG@mstdn.moimeme.ca Yup, keep banning short term rentals for whatever reason. They’ve distorted the housing market for decades now, slowly tightening the screws and making it increasingly unprofitable will bring balance back to the housing market without shocking the system and causing a crash.

@Foritus@toot.dusepo.co.uk My only question is…. How much did that 30 minutes of churning (and producing almost nothing of value) cost?
