@tuomosuominen@mastodon.world Honestly a bunch more people would have to request this for us to consider it and spend time making it work. So far this is the very first time someone’s not wanted to open links on the Mac in an external browser. I suspect such a setting would cause more confusion and support tickets than it would solve. Won’t say no, but it would be super low on the priority list.

  • @Iconfactory@iconfactory.world Hmm, really? Identical functionality across platforms causes confusion and support tickets? I thought *missing* functionality in one of three platforms causes confusion and support tickets.

@Iconfactory@iconfactory.world @tuomosuominen@mastodon.world I like in-app browsers *for sites I trust to be safe to browse/cache/share **some** personal info and for which I don’t need browser extensions*. Those are, not coincidentally, the sites I visit regularly. I’m a avid NetNewsWire user, and I use its in app-browser in iOS/ iPadOS. But not on Mac, even though it’s available. I’ll use external browsers to read those sites for which I need extensions, need to manage/purge the cache or otherwise I don’t trust to open in an in-app browser, which are too limited for my (admittedly paranoid) preferences. So, it would definitely be a nice-to-have feature, definitely not a dealbreaker.
