There is no window *frame* in that photo either, those doors have a window frame a couple inches thick all the way around. Another commenter posted an actual photo of such a door. The window frame isn't exactly an optional piece..

The window frame is above where we can see, outside of the frame of the picture. I think maybe you’re seeing the crease in the door and thinking that’s where the door meets the window, but that’s just a decorative crease.
