still one of my most "what the fuck" experiences in life is: the last time I was in Dublin (2024 or so) I was sick with covid, didn't know I had covid, assumed I had a sinus infection. had a 5 day vacation planned, enjoyed basically none of it. but I ended up in a pub one night, 5 pints deep, talking to a guy from the UK who claimed to love raving and Glastonbury and at the same time thought Trump and Farage were saving the world.
