@eevee@slime.global @zzzeek@fosstodon.org @hynek@mastodon.social and to mike's original point, this is, itself, harm that every single user experiences. either you are being a sucker, embarrassing yourself publicly like this as the chatbot tricks you, or you are checking its output and it's "actually useful" which just means you are being subjected to the constant risk that a momentary lapse in vigilance will lead you to more reliance, that the reliance will increase in a loop you can't perceive. that is also not good for you
