I keep pondering the "3 good things" hashtag but I rarely post under it. I find it very difficult to actually find three good things to mention each day. Not that I'm suggesting my days are all bad but what exactly *IS* good and what is what it should be? Ie ""Had something to eat" is that good? Or is that baseline expectation? I hope every day I have something to eat! "Slept" ..again is this a good thing or baseline expectation. The mere minimum expectation? At work we have a HUGE document that is called the "Definition of Done" that is, it specifies EXACTLY what steps and processes have to be completed for a piece of work to be considered "Done". Code written, documented, tested, peer reviewed, loaded to internal test server, loaded to external test server for clients, source checked for potential exploits and weaknesses, etc etc etc. it's a big, technical document, signed off by us developers, the testers, management and the client. I think , for personal use, I need a "Definition of good" Good should be something positive above that which I expect naturally. Achieving the bare minimum of rest, food, fun etc does not make a day GOOD per se. Instead NOT reaching these bare minimums make a day BAD. Perhaps I need to start a #3BadThings hashtag :D ie. 1. Forgot to eat 2. Had a rotten night's sleep. 3. Had all my internal organs harvested by a low flying UFO. You'll be surprised how often that last one happens! :)

@PeteLittle@autistics.life For a while now I use #3Things for my daily mundanities, that way I can post good and bad... i.e. reality. I'm not good with toxic positivity (I had _that_ mother), which is what #3GoodThings feels like to me.
