Trying to move people from one platform to another is almost impossible. I mentioned the problems with Whatscrap and the response was the usual, "I only use it to chat to ...".
Security and online privacy are very low on most users minds, I guess that's why they still use it. That and they have it and change is always a slow process.
Personally I am email and here these days 😉

@mbt3d@graphics.social Preferred means of communication: DM me on fedi 😜 I have my own email server but I'm using it mainly for mailing lists and as professionally looking signature for git commits. When I mention someone that they can email me they give me weird looks. Corporations and spammers made people hate emails. I'm not even sure if I can send emails to big providers, as sans mailing list, last time I've send email from personal address was years ago.
