Personally, I'm in favor of sites blocking ALL external AI agents. Period. Starve these Big Tech monsters to financial death. It's already happening.

@lauren@mastodon.laurenweinstein.org I had to change all the settings on my Masto server to authenticated only after meta hammered it and tripled the media cache to 60gb over a weekend. For so long I was anti 'walled gardens' on the web, now I'm starting to believe they are essential. Not the corporate lock ins, more community allotments.
