ED O’BRIEN Blue Morpho 2026 Europe pressing Without a doubt one of my favorite records of 2026. This is ASTONISHINGLY good. To be honest, I was not impressed with Ed’s EARTH album. It just sounded like him trying to figure out what he could do outside of the cozy confines of Radiohead, away from Thom and Jonny. It was a little too conventional & clumsy sounding for me. With Blue Morpho, it seems that he discovered that he didn’t have to put his broken self back together in exactly the same shape. THIS record embraces atmosphere and nature. It’s breezy, psychedelic and ambient sounding, with cool electronic and Kraut rock flourishes. It’s a BEAUTIFUL record, and something I wasn’t expecting at all. Ed is on record talking about how hard things were for him since Covid. Through this great record, it sounds like depression has turned into graciousness and gratitude. #vinyl #vinylrecords #vinylcommunity #records #vintage #retro #physicalmedia #analog #vinylcollection #art #music
