Our host, at the cottage we were staying at, was explaining that she had a car full of straw because it was becomeing a rare and valuable commodity at the moment, and she had to go and buy some for their smallholding.
I said we should go back to where we saw the lorry. We could then pick the straw up off the road where it would have eventually fallen off.

@Maker_of_Things@cupoftea.social that would have been silage. You'd really regret one of those bails landing on you, they are very heavy because they are damp, not like hay or straw. Not that you'd want them landing on you either! I hope your head clears soon
