So, I admit that filtering out instances simply because they use the `.cf` TLD can be unfair. After all, it's just a TLD — that's not enough reason by itself to filter an instance out. So I took a closer look at the JSON file containing the hosts that were actually filtered. And the overwhelming majority of the `.cf` hosts were: `activitypub-troll.cf` I'm not kidding. The screenshots show the actual JSON data I got, and they're only a tiny fraction of the full file. There were so many entries that even VS Code couldn't count them all. To be fair, there may absolutely be legitimate `.cf` servers out there. I just couldn't manage to find them in this dataset. But I think we can agree that filtering `activitypub-troll` hosts doesn't require blocking the entire `.cf` TLD. We can replace that broad rule with a much more specific one.
