it should also be required (legally or otherwise) for services to not go public until an account deletion or opt-out process is figured out, cuz that's a basic privacy issue waiting to happen

it should also be required (legally or otherwise) for apps to allow you to sign up with email, alongside your phone number it should also be required (legally or otherwise) for resetting your password to be a simple process. request an email, click the link, put in a new password, good to go it should also be required (legally or otherwise) for all of this to be able to be done on the company’s website. no additional downloads or devices needed
