The problem is these kinds of defections have exactly zero consequences. And it’s a roulette wheel of defectors making sure that there’s just enough votes to pass trump’s agenda. Which makes it look rather… orchestrated. The current party leadership is fucking useless. They sit around, do nothing, let themselves get steamrolled and then wonder why no one wants to vote for them.

You’re being very naive. 2 Dems defected because Republicans needed 2 votes. If they needed 21 votes 21 Dems would defect: thehill.com/…/5721189-democrats-republicans-end-s… Weird how they can always find just the right number of Dems willing to vote with Republicans, don’t you think? It’s almost as if both parties are working together…
