Upgrading Antix on the dual PIII machine. Why? Idk. (Though it is curious how long it takes and memory usage etc) Also I need to swap the bios battery. Hopefully that didn’t leak. #RetroComputing #Antix

    @colinstu@birdbutt.com Antix is surprisingly slow on this HP Chromebook 11A G8 EE (2016 netbook CPU, 4GB RAM, pulled from the e-wastes of my job), but I figure some of this might be because I enabled ZRAM and disk encryption. will also mention that disabling compositing on the default IceWM environment bumped ExtremeTuxRacer's performance from "kinda unplayable" to "basically alright" (full 1366x768 resolution for both). on my main laptop (early 2010s dualcore Thinkpad) I use it's cousin MX Linux instead
