I'm trying to start a gaming-club (like a book-club but for gaming) with my friends. Many of them are eager to join, kind of surprised! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Do you have any good tips on how to do these things? Anything we should be mindful of going into it? I thought we could gather everyone's favorite (but also a bit obscure?) games in a list, and just choose a random one and get to it. Maybe give them a month or two to play through it and make notes/review it? ๐Ÿค” #Gaming #VideoGames #Club #Review #AskFedi

@bloodaxe@fosstodon.org My husband plays a variety of (non-video) games with several different groups of people, but his board-game group chooses 3-5 games each session, mixing longer, more complicated games with shorter, simpler ones. They sometimes discuss it beforehand, other times I think the host picks them. I've gone a couple of times and it's a lot of fun.
