@Nickiquote@mstdn.social Yes, if you’re an idiot chemist with no common sense, you can turn hydrocarbons into carbohydrates and proteins. Except doing that uses a fuckton of energy and intermediates more than say, growing some shrimp. tl;dr It’s amazing what you can do when you have free energy and externalise all your wastes.
