@hollie@social.coop On the other hand, I raved about Xero to my husband, and he tried some and they gave him plantar fasciitis that didn't go away for many months. So people's feet are definitely different! His apparently need a lot of support. Another shoe I like: generic water shoes with soft flexible rubber soles. Super grip on rocks. I wore mine hiking last week expecting a lot of stream crossings; we turned back before the crossings, but I had fun dancing over the forest floor in soft shoes.

@akkana@fosstodon.org I have tried Xeores but I haven't added the review, I'll do that! :) Yeah plantar fasciitis is tricky and seems to be very person-dependent. If I go barefoot "too hard", like walk too long, it will totally flare mine, and hurt for days/weeks. For others, walking barefoot is literally how they get theirs to resolve. Water shoes are great! I remember when those came out and everyone laughed at them, what a silly idea, ha ha. Man they turned out to be some of the most useful shoes I ever owned, as someone who spent tons of times in rivers and crossing streams and such.
