Apparently there’s yet another edition of Vampire (the RPG) in the works. I never even looked at the last edition. Ever since they sold out to a video game company the RPG stuff has mostly felt like an afterthought placeholder to keep the IP alive.
Once a game is controlled by corporate interests instead of creative talent, there’s just no long term vision. Licenses get cancelled or transferred, based on the whims of some distant board of directors.

Why didn’t I try the last version? Same reason I won’t try the next one. The parts of World of Darkness that interest me the most are Mage and Changeling. I have nice 20th Anniversary editions (which are now a decade old 😅), but the “5th” iteration didn’t even last long enough to get around to them. I doubt the “6th” will either. 2/3
