As is the people in the responses insisting everyone has a faith, or reinterpreting faith to mean belief system. Listen: I am a philosopher, I have a rich belief system that's important to me, but it's not faith.

It's supposed to be something that motivates you over and above such concerns. That's how we use the term in the philosophy of religion and epistemology (the study of belief) I do not have faith. I respect those who do, but they engage in conversations where I cannot participate. I do not work that way
