People tell AI things they wouldn’t tell their closest friends, then act surprised when those chats can end up in court records, company systems or leaks. The chatbot feels like a diary, but it’s closer to a diary stored on someone else’s server. Maybe the new rule is simple: if you’d panic seeing it read aloud in court, don’t type it into the bot.

How this can become public: You are dumb enough to use the share feature. No leaks so far. But it is of course always a possibility. As it is with almost any other web service. How this can get accessed by others without being explicitly public to everyone: Law enforcement, the justice system, and intelligence agencies Your conversations will be used for training LLMs of at least the company whose LLM you’re using. Data deals with others are a possibility.

if they use chatgpt for advice for the simplest things, they would use it as a relationship/cofiding tool.
