NEIL YOUNG Le Noise 2010 U.S. pressing Have been thinking about listening to this all day while out and about town taking care of some things. Hands down, one of my three favorite Neil Young albums. There’s a magic about Le Noise. Daniel Lanois’ production approach to this is nothing short of remarkable. This is nothing but Neil singing and playing electric guitar, and by using distortion, echo, delays, feedback and other processing, Lanois transforms the performances into something otherworldly. Neil’s guitar sounds so massive, and with all the sonics going on around it, it makes for a wonderfully noisy (and riffy) album indeed. For me, it’s essential listening in Neil’s catalog, regardless of era. When I took this out to play it, I forgot about the DVD inside that came with it. These are going for stupid $ right now. #vinyl #vinylrecords #vinylcommunity #records #vintage #retro #physicalmedia #analog #vinylcollection #art #music #neilyoung #lenoise #daniellanois
