I now have all the skirt pieces (except the bias tape) cut out and overlocked. Oh, I also need to cut the interfacing. If I can't sleep again tonight, I'll make the bias tape and start sewing the skirt pieces together. With the buckle instead of the ties, this should go together quite quickly, though I'm waiting on the proper colour match for the top stitching sections. The general piecing together I have a thread that matches the value of the fabric and shouldn't show through. I think the next thing is to see if I have any wool in the right amount and plan to make one in a full length skirt for winter. I think I have some in a lovely navy.
