It looks like you've a huge misunderstanding of what the vulnerability was and how the attack worked. I had to do risk assessments as part of my job. Also the actual lesion to be learned here is to review software, to turn auto updaters off and have an in-house software store with reviewed versions, and similar...

    @LorenzoAncora@ieji.de The thing to be learned here is that people should not neglect the issue of the software vendor getting compromised in their risk assessments. Updating won't remove any vulnerability as there was none in the client. The update however will add new additional safeguards.
