i think people have a broken mental model of the internet and its making them see a "ai" making "a million copies of itself" and "spreading accross the internet" as like a worm, and not like a server running the "ai" trying to spam browser refresh a million times. like, the ape is not leaving your network,its just making http calls to the other networks.
