Did you know most crypto currencies no longer even use the blockchain?
It's true! All those crypto exchanges found it so inconvenient to have to wait for miners to generate a new block (never mind the limited number of transactions that could actually be encoded into each block) that they now use essentially standard banking tools and databases for their intra-exchange transactions and, where agreements exist, even for some inter-exchange transactions.
