That card probably also has an insanely old firmware too, but you ought to be able to set a 550 motherboard to bios mode instead of uefi and get past it.

I didn’t mention that in the OP but I did try both UEFI and legacy BIOS compatibility mode. Would’ve been cool if I had the skills to flash the old card with some new firmware 🤣
