#3GoodThings
1. This morning my husband and I completed a challenging maintenance task. We needed to change 5 filters and clean a device.
The instructions for this were written by someone who knows how to do the task so well they could do it with their eyes closed and at least one hand tied behind their back. Unfortunately, this writer of the instructions cannot conceive of others not having their level of expertise, they renamed one of the parts a fanciful name, using no descriptors (call it the _small, blue_ whiskiflitter and I'll have a better chance of identifying it!) and they left out a few steps...
I took pictures as we disassembled the last parts, and that was very helpful. We hope it goes more smoothly next time, but are happy that we were able to get it done!
2. A friend gave us a cheesecake last week, with strawberry sauce. We ate half of it and froze the rest. I love cheesecake.
3. My husband is going through some old clothes, and is finding several things to donate. He tends not to realize how many of something he has, and overbuys--a post-stroke bit of brain damage.
4. (a bonus good thing!) I am working on fermenting my own kefir. My first batch was so-so, but I have found a few folks here who have written about their process, and have begun to incorporate some of their methods.
