@screwlisp@gamerplus.org hmm... i bet most questions i'd have will be covered!
i'm interested to hear views on AI and ethics, but also curious to hear thoughts about email being functionally (though not totally, and not by design) controlled by a handful of large companies, where even the pro-privacy side tends to embrace centralization (and to simply give up on metadata privacy). i wonder about ideas on what we can do differently to stop decentralized systems from shifting toward centralization, going forward. i also wonder if there's any hope in reversing course with existing systems like email, and how we'd do that, or if we'd be better off letting it go (whatever that would mean) and trying again from the ground up as new types of systems that are developed.
so, yeah, vague and broad and probably already would be covered! but i'll be curious regardless.

#reminder that in about two hours, at 0UTC Wednesday ("Tuesday night"), we will be discussing Nathaniel Borenstein's new autobiographical book The Spirit of a Cyborg, and #ai and #ethics from someone who defined parts of how the internet we use every day work four decades ago, providing a long view of AI from Weizenbaum, Winograd, Minsky, Papert up to present day with a serious eye towards the future. I'll make the proper show toot in about an hour. Last minute questions please! + #emacs #lisp
