My wife and I watched Blade Runner (1982) last night and since it was my first time seeing it, I've gotta say that it was a deeply underwhelming film. For something with such a timeless and rich underlying premise, it was so uninterested in actually wrestling with its subject matter. Cmon, man.

Ridley Scott movies from the era have interesting set design and and lighting signatures but like, beyond that... this was shallow as all hell.
