i was unexpectedly given a bonus fee for a job last month (complicated story, not the point). i need some new autumn footwear. i have had my eye on a pair of fearsomely expensive, well-made and gorgeous ankle boots for a wee while. they cost about £25 more than the bonus fee. should i go for it or is that ridiculous? it would be more than i’ve ever paid for any footwear ever, but unexpected money like this doesn’t exist in the world of sensible-jody. i’m very bad at decisions like this. anyway here’s a picture for your delectation. #askfedi
