random NPC's first words: "J'aimerais"
that's so far from what we've learned in class so far lol
but because I may have skimmed some of the more complex verb forms, I can guess pretty easily that "J'aimerais un Pokémon !" can be translated as "I'd love to have a Pokémon!"

following a similar pattern of conditional forms, "pourrais" is the "could" form of pouvoir (can) Comme ça, je pourrais aller où je veux ! from context I can guess that this is "then, I could go where(ever) I want!" veux is just the first person singular of vouloir, to want, as far as I can tell :)
