@mlanger@mastodon.world Starlink is undeniably convenient, but I'm just not willing to support that man. Between park wi-fi and our cellphone hotspots, we almost always manage to get internet good enough for surfing, and we have the Dish Tailgater/Wally combo for TV news.

@Doppelganger75@mastodon.world I didn't have much of a choice. The difference between having Starlink on the boat and not having Starlink on the boat is the difference between having it chartered every week all summer and not. The technology is supporting me. I spend $85 a month and have the potential for more than $10,000 a month in charter revenue. I'd be an idiot not to have one on board.
