actually I don't even understand what this code is doing
foobar.c at the top has:
extern void blah(int a, int b);
and later around line 300 has
static void blah(a, b)
int a;
int b;
{
// stuff here
}
why are you defining a function as extern, and then later defining it as static in the same compilation unit? GCC is naturally getting a little annoyed by this.

and by "getting a little annoyed" I mean it's throwing a "static declaration of ‘blah’ follows non-static declaration" error
