That's good to know.
It would be useful to have a flexible membrane PV that can be stuck onto the roof or bonnet to do that.
In terms of Solar PV on cars, I am liking where Aptera are going.

@Maker_of_Things@cupoftea.social @hollowman@fosstodon.org I just plugged it into the 12V socket inside and put it on the dash in the sun. The Vauxhall Zafiria 12v sockets stayed on even when the car was turned off and locked. Looking at how to fit it to my Kia Niro ev and it is proving a pain, there doesn't seem to be an accessable permanent 12v inside the cabin. (EV's also suffer from the 12V getting low when parked up) Although someone has suggested plugging itin the OBDC port as that does have a straight +12 to it.
