@peachfiend ya know… that is a very good point.🤔 Maybe it’s because those “commandments” are much more about telling people what and how to live their lives and control them… it’s just a hunch Funny enough, I had great cousin (called them aunt) who was a nun and she would mention these frequently (the beatitudes)🩷

    @em_and_future_cats @peachfiend God actually had to do the commandments twice. He comes down the first time and finds all the Hebrews doing a bunch of ungodly shit and Moses throws a tantrum and breaks God's word. Could be one reason why the focus. One big thing in Christianity, for a lot of people anyway, is the idea that the Hebrews were God's chosen but they always betrayed him and so he came down himself and gave us his word.
