I don't know if I was living in a bubble before, but it really seems like people stopped stopping at stop signs since, say, 2019.
I see the same driver behaviour at the intersection where my kids wait for the school bus. It's a 4 way stop, but even rolling stops can't be counted on.

The understanding amongst the motorists in my circles was always that speeding would be tolerated as long as it wasn't excessive, but if you failed to stop at a stop sign and a cop saw you, you'd likely get a ticket. Even rolling stops weren't tolerated.
