How did I not know about uBlock Origin's Block Element control?
I'm so tired of Google throwing Gemini into things, especially my teaching things. Block element let me target the gemini button and just hide it from the UI. The picker was also super cool, which let me dial it into that one specific thing and not catch other controls by accident.
User control FTW.

@brianb@fosstodon.org Had anyone created something to block YouTube's stupid recommendation algorithm? I could tolerate it suggesting content from people I have watched previously but Google assumes that because I once watched documentary about something historical I will really enjoy thousands of AI generated 'stories' about something that never happened but set in the same period. With anachronistic photo montage instead of video.
