@rl_dane@polymaths.social I saw s1 e1 and had mixed feelings, but it was free. a TV analyst guy (Tom something) tweeted out his criticisms of s1 and its ending and it persuaded me to abandon it too, with complaints similar to yours. supposedly its been greenlit for s2. Tom basically said it felt like they were leading viewers on and making shit up out of thin air without proper payoff, which is kinda what the series Lost was guilty of. obviously Lost was wildly popular in terms of audience size so Tom said folks like Vince Gilligan learned the wrong lesson from its success. Vince gave us X-Files, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul so I was willing to cut him slack. and I love that main actress gal from BCS
