Where do you not have to pay for glasses? Here in the UK (which is not the US) children and low income people get free basic glasses, but any special coatings, tints, frames or adult glasses you have to pay for.

You do not have to pay for any optical, dental, or audiology equipment or treatment in France. You can choose to buy fancy frames or tints, but you don't have to.
