With regards to the language part, that was covered by the federal government except for accommodations off campus. There were limited spaces at participating schools. I learned about it late, so didn't get to spend a summer in Quebec, but I had lived there already. It was cool to spend time along the Acadian coast in NS.

@CStamp@mastodon.social Canada still funds the Explore program. https://www.canada.ca/en/canadian-heritage/services/funding/explore.html I never participated, but my friends did. Now, I have ragrets!
