I bought earrings today at the mall. For myself. Small diamond and white gold. Was excited, I don't normally buy stuff for myself. I had pierced my own ears when I was 20yo, at university. That was over 30 years ago. Turns out the front of the ear lobe still looks pierced. But the back has completely grown over. This is going to hurt. Do I just push through? Or do I get a sewing needle and re-pierce both ears?

@charette@mstdn.ca have had mine done as a kid mom did them with self piercing hoops and that means the holes had curves in them and then and to find self with continuous bleeding and liquid leaking and to find unable to heal properly when you yank the hoops when brushing hair or even with own fingers when you go to scratch or everytime changing earrings.. Think my ear backs have sealed and front could get something pushed in and bleed if try anything and finally the solid scar tissue is gone .. been wearing clip earrings for years and now nothing at all ...

Took a bit of determination, but managed to push both of them through. Not sure what inspired me to get a set of earrings today.
