This phenomenon has been around for a long time, but it is still psychically jarring that when I plug my phone into my computer with a cable to sync some music, it says, enter your password to use "accessory." The notion that the phone is primary and the computer is secondary, an "accessory" to the phone, is wildly backwards. The phone is the passive consumption device. Not inherrently bad, of course. I need my info. But the computer. Holy crap. That is The Thing. A place for computational creativity. That is the Main Source, ayo.
