@GhostOnTheHalfShell@masto.ai Nearing the end of the video and for his description of the final dial, I'm reminded of: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goodhart%27s_law and, I suppose, the ultimate disconnect between reality and the symbol (signified and signifier? I'm not an expert on this) ultimate manifests as hypernormalisation as described by Adam Curtis. Anyway, thanks for the link. It seems that thinking about psychopathy in a societal context (as opposed to purely psychology) can be a pretty useful thing.
